The INTERconnected Science ECosysTem (INTERSECT) open federated hardware/software architecture is currently being developed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) as part of a Laboratory Directed Research and Development (LDRD) Initiative. The current team involves ORNL scientists and engineers, but the project is open for external contributions.
